We are living at times when almost everything is digitized. This is mainly due to the advancement of technology. On most occasions, you will find your kids glued to the TV or playing games. Luckily, trampolines such as the Skywalker 15′ Jump N’ Dunk Trampoline can entice your kids to go outside for you to have some family time.

Skywalker trampolines are one of the global companies renowned for constructing quality trampolines at affordable prices. Skywalker is one of the more popular makers of trampolines as they can be found in backyards across the world. Their reputation for customer satisfaction is well-known throughout the world. If you’re looking for a budget trampoline that is built to impress, read below to see what we think of the Skywalker 15-foot Jump N’ Dunk Trampoline with Enclosure.

Skywalker Jump N’ Dunk Review

Some of the features that make the Skywalker 15′ Jump N’ Dunk Trampoline great are the high-quality polyethylene and alloy steel materials used in its construction to improve durability and lifespan. Additionally, these materials add to the sturdiness of the trampoline as it is very stable when seated properly in the reinforced T-sockets. The trampoline is equipped with 6 W-shaped legs, to make moving the trampoline easier and provide additional support and stability. Further, with this trampoline’s assembled dimensions of 15’ by 15’ by 9’, several kids can use it to jump and play basketball at once. Be aware that the maximum suggested weight capacity is only 200 lbs., so ensure that you are following the manufacturer’s suggestions and do not exceed the weight limit. It has been tested up to 4x the suggested weight capacity, but safety protocols prohibit exceeding the 200 lbs. limit.

The metal components are rust and weather resistant (including the springs), which increases the longevity before parts need to be replaced. Additionally, the soft components (jumping mat, safety enclosure, etc…) are made of UV- resistant and weatherproof polyethylene material. The included spring padding is fade-resistant to maintain its color for longer.

For safety features, the Skywalker 15’ trampoline features a patented 6+ feet high enclosure system and a no-gap spring pad. The enclosure offers a dual-zipper and latch clip system to ensure the netting is securely closed while jumpers are using the trampoline. Moreover, this trampoline’s poles are foam padded for you and your kids’ safety in the event of errant bounces. The no-gap spring padding does well at preventing fingers and toes from becoming entangled in the springs. The basketball hoop is made of soft materials that also speak to Skywalkers attention to safety. The breakaway rim works very well and is adaptable to the person using the trampoline as it can be reversed upside down for smaller children.

Performance

The Skywalker 15’ trampoline has possibly the best bounce of all the Skywalker trampolines. While jumping, some impressive heights can be reached, although not as much as what you would expect on a more expensive model. The soft jumping mat does a good job at ensuring the landings are easily absorbed. Ninety-six 6.5” rust-resistant springs are in place to facilitate the high bounces and soft landings.

Affordability

Possibly the best feature of this trampoline is the excellent balance of cost and quality. The trampoline isn’t in the upper echelon of premium trampolines, but it does well when considering the cost. For a fraction of the cost of a higher-end model, you get a quality trampoline that is made with safety in mind and still performs well enough to keep almost everyone happy. If you are looking for a trampoline that will last 20 years and give Olympic-level bounces, this isn’t the trampoline for you. If, on the other hand, you are searching for something to keep the kids happy in the backyard without taking out a second mortgage, this may be just your cup of tea.

Safety

The foam poles are well positioned around the trampoline to reduce impacts while jumping. Furthermore, the netting is placed inside the spring pad for added safety. Some prefer the netting to be on the outside for more jumping area, but if you prefer maximum safety, inside netting is the way to go. The spring padding does an excellent job at keeping body parts out of the springs. The no-gap design works well and makes it almost impossible to fit a foot or hand underneath the padding. Overall, the safety features are well-made, and it is obvious that Skywalker takes safety seriously.

Assembly

Assembly of the Skywalker 15ft Jump N Dunk is a quick process for a large trampoline. Expect to spend 1.5 – 2 hours during assembly. The instruction manual is mostly clear with only some aspects being confusing for those who don’t have much experience in assembling trampolines. The most difficult aspect of setting up the trampoline is the safety enclosure and zippered doorway, especially considering the manual leaves out exactly how to attach the net. If your net is not pre-attached to the jumping pad, ensure that the labels are facing outward. Attaching the netting with the labels facing inward means that it installed in reverse and you will be unable to attach the net to the poles. This will cause you to have to start back over from the beginning as it’s the very last step. Otherwise, assembly is a quick endeavor and you will be up and jumping in short order.

What We Like

• Affordable
• Inside netting for added safety
• Good bounce for a budget model
• Solid and sturdy
• Fade and weather resistant

What We Don’t Like

• Low weight capacity
• Some confusing parts in manual
• Ladder comes separately

Conclusion

The Skywalker 15’ Jump N’ Dunk trampoline (available at Amazon) is a strong entry-level trampoline for most families. It is built of solid materials, but it isn’t in the same class as the more expensive premium models. It can best be classified as a top-tier low-grade trampoline. The trampoline gives you a good bang for your buck as it offers a trampoline you will have for numerous years. The biggest drawback is that it has a lower weight capacity than some other 15-foot trampolines. As long as you are mindful not to exceed the maximum limit, it will provide many hours of fun and healthy entertainment for the whole family.
